The Contura 670 is slightly broader at the back and is therefore best placed against a straight wall.
The stove's ingenious convection system heats the air in the stove to a temperature of almost 150°C, yet cools the rear of the stove at the same time, enabling it to be placed close even to combustible walls.
The Contura 670 is available with a choice of three different top units - an oven unit, a hot shelf or a convector fascia.
The stove can either be fitted with a plinth, or the space beneath the fire-box can be used for storing wood. The picture here features the 670 with a hot shelf and plinth.
